  Glossary

  Asa - the fledgling vampire sent by Cy, who was turned in Afghanistan while serving in the Army. The Asa character, as well as Eric and Pat, are based on real people in C.J.’s life, her nephews and one of their friends.

  Bloodcoffee - a mixture of half-blood and half-coffee, favored by undead everywhere.

  Bebe - One of the vampires who paid an exorbitant fee to hunt Emiko at the inn in book two.

  Bunny - Paul's wife.

  Cali - Cy's bonded mate, and a werewolf. She's also Asa's aunt.

  Constantine - The smokin' hot head of Grim Reaper Services and Lisa's boss. He may or may not be human.

  Cy - Vivian's contact in New York, whom she turned when she discovered him close to death in an alley outside his bar over forty-five years ago.

  Deneishia - married to Kotsana and a member of Romeo’s Werewolf pack, which is also Jon’s old pack from Manitoba. She died at the inn in book three.

  Donor - a human who donates blood to a vampire, willingly, with no connections.

  Drew - one of the new vampire member’s in Vivian’s seethe.

  Dria - the master vampire who narrates the first book, aka Vivian and Alexandria. She’s married to Rafe and they own the V V Inn together.

  Eric - a new werewolf at the inn, originally from Romeo’s pack. He became a werewolf during a chance encounter while on leave from the Army, he was visiting an old hangout spot in the woods with his best friend Pat. In the story he’s Asa’s brother, who thought Asa was dead for years. And in real life both Eric and Asa’s characters are based on C.J.’s nephews.

  Emiko - the rogue designated by the Tribunal to be hunted at the resort (book two).

  Fledgling - term used for a vampire under the age of five years.

  Hal Lee Lewya - Lisa’s flamboyant porter who transport the souls to the great beyond.

  Ivan - Angie’s first husband and bonded mate (book one).

  Joanna - a young vampire vacationing at the inn, and a member of Liam's seethe.

  Jon/Jonathan - Vivian's werewolf servant and the head groundskeeper on the property.

  Liebling - German endearment, meaning darling.

  Master Vampire - a vampire who heads their own seethe, or is independent of a seethe. One not requiring the blood of a master to gain in power, but has accumulated enough strength to hold their own in a battle where an older vampire may try to drain a younger one for their blood.

  Melvyn - Visiting werewolf from the UK who traveled to th einn to hunt Emiko in book two.

  Nate - Lisa's smokin' hot partner. He reaps violent criminals. Human.

  Pat - a new werewolf from Romeo’s pack.

  Paul - a gourmet chef imported from the lower forty-eight, married to Bunny and a newly turned vampire who is also part of Vivian’s seethe.

  Rafe - Vivian's human husband, bonded mate for sixty-five years, and co-owner to the inn.

  Romeo - Jonathan's old Alpha, but not the Were who infected him.

  Sanji - Master vampire from India who traveled to the inn to hunt Emiko in book two.

  Seethe - A vampire family, or group of vampires, with a master vampire at its head.

  Tommy - an employee, originally from Australia, who mainly works the front desk and organizes the blood donor list for the guests.

  Tribunal of Ancients/ Elders - the governing body of ruling ancient vampires, entrusted with maintaining the secrecy of the existence of vampires from the human race.

  Turning - term used for when a human has been changed into a vampire.

  Vivian - the nickname for Dria, a play on words from The V V Inn.

  Were - shorthand for werewolf.

  Vella - Best friend to Lisa. Tan, Texan, and and queen hair dresser. Human, no magical abilities besides her sarcasm.

  Vikram - A vampire from Sanji’s seethe, but not participating in the hunt (book two).
